Job Description
26North is seeking a Principal or Vice President to join the Capital Formation team with a generalist mandate across Alternatives. This individual will support the Capital Formation Leader and play a pivotal role in expanding and deepening the firm’s relationships across the institutional ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong fundraising acumen, product fluency in private equity and private credit, and a demonstrated ability to originate and develop sophisticated institutional client relationships. This individual will own fundraising targets, drive new business development, manage existing LP relationships, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of 26North’s product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, cultivate, and convert new relationships, owning individual capital-raising targets
- Serve as a primary relationship manager, ensuring a high-touch and thoughtful client experience
- Engage regularly with clients to understand investment objectives, portfolio needs, and product preferences
- Develop a strong understanding of 26North’s platform and serve as a knowledgeable representative of the firm’s Private Equity business, Private Credit capabilities, and Insurance solutions
- Maintain a detailed view of the institutional fundraising landscape, including competitive dynamics and product trends
- Partner with legal, compliance, operations, and product management teams to facilitate efficient and seamless onboarding processes for clients
- Prepare senior executives and deal professionals for investor meetings, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality engagement
- Represent 26North as a thought leader with industry organizations
- Assist with conferences, speaking engagements, and content development
Qualifications
Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, institutional fundraising, or client coverage—preferably within private equity and private credit
- Demonstrated success raising capital from institutional investors
- Strong knowledge of alternative investment strategies, with emphasis on private equity and credit-oriented vehicles

- Exceptional communication skills—able to articulate complex concepts clearly and confidently

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree, CFA, or relevant certifications preferred but not necessary

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $185,000.00 and $250,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion.
