Social Media Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to support day-to-day social media activation, publishing, community engagement, and performance optimization for a large enterprise brand. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating content across multiple channels, teams, and stakeholders.

The Social Media Specialist will help bring social strategy to life by managing publishing workflows, supporting global content calendars, engaging with online communities, tracking performance, and helping establish scalable best practices across enterprise social channels. This is an exciting opportunity for a social media professional who enjoys both execution and strategy support, and who understands how to balance brand voice, platform best practices, audience engagement, and performance insights.

Key Responsibilities

Social Content Activation & Publishing

  • Execute day-to-day social media activation, including publishing, scheduling, and coordinating content across owned and paid channels.
  • Maintain and operationalize global content calendars aligned to enterprise priorities, campaigns, and always-on content needs.
  • Format and optimize content for platform-specific best practices, audience expectations, and channel requirements.
  • Partner with integrated marketing, content, and campaign teams to deploy social content at scale.
  • Ensure publishing workflows are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.

Community Management & Engagement

  • Partner with moderation and support teams to monitor comments, messages, mentions, and interactions across social platforms.
  • Support timely, brand-aligned responses to audience engagement.
  • Escalate sensitive, complex, or high-priority inquiries to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Identify engagement trends, audience sentiment, and recurring themes to inform content improvements.
  • Help ensure a consistent and thoughtful brand presence across social communities.

Channel Optimization & Performance

  • Track and report on key social performance metrics, including engagement, reach, click-through rate, audience growth, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize content formats, posting cadence, messaging, and channel execution.
  • Support both organic and paid social execution in partnership with internal teams and agency partners.
  • Contribute to test-and-learn initiatives to improve effectiveness across social platforms.
  • Use performance insights to make recommendations for ongoing content and channel improvements.

Playbook Development & Strategic Support

  • Support the development of an enterprise social media playbook by translating strategy into actionable frameworks, processes, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Provide execution-based insights and performance learnings to help inform content strategy, channel roles, and optimization approaches.
  • Help establish scalable guidelines and processes that enable consistency across global teams.
  • Document learnings, workflows, and best practices to support ongoing social media governance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with integrated marketing, external communications, investor relations, regional teams, agencies, and external partners to ensure aligned and efficient social activation.
  • Coordinate with agency partners on content deployment, optimization, reporting, and executional needs.
  • Support governance, consistency, and quality control across enterprise social media channels.
  • Manage multiple priorities and workflows while maintaining strong communication and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in social media execution, community management, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience managing social publishing, scheduling, engagement, and daily activation workflows.
  • Experience supporting enterprise, corporate, or global brands preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media management, publishing, and analytics tools.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt to brand voice and platform expectations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting social media performance data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social media publishing platforms such as Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of both organic and paid social media execution.
  • Experience working with agency partners or external vendors.
  • Familiarity with social media governance, moderation workflows, and escalation processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed, enterprise environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strong social media executor who understands how to publish, optimize, and manage content across multiple channels with accuracy and consistency. This person should be comfortable working across teams, staying organized in a fast-moving environment, and using performance insights to improve content effectiveness.

They should bring a strong understanding of social platform best practices, brand voice, community engagement, and content operations. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys being close to the day-to-day execution of social media while also contributing to broader process, playbook, and optimization work.
