Client Overview: A global organization with a multi-brand operating environment is seeking temporary support within its HR Shared Services function. The team manages complex employee leave processes across multiple U.S. states and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, employees, HR partners, and external leave administration vendors.
Role Overview: The team is seeking a temporary professional to provide coverage and operational support for Leave of Absence administration. This assignment is expected to run approximately 7–9 weeks.
HR Leave of Absence Operations Specialist Responsibilities:
- Manage and support employee Leave of Absence cases across multiple U.S. states
- Coordinate leave administration processes in partnership with third-party vendors and internal HR teams
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, managers, HR business partners, and leadership regarding leave-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies and regulations
- Maintain accurate case documentation and timely follow-up throughout the leave lifecycle
- Navigate a high-volume, multi-brand environment while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs
- Communicate professionally and effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Support disability and leave case management activities with strong attention to detail and confidentiality
HR Leave of Absence Operations Specialist Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of direct experience in Leave of Absence and/or disability case management
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. leave laws and multi-state leave administration requirements
- Experience partnering with third-party leave administrators and vendors
- Ability to work independently with limited training or onboarding support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience within a complex, multi-brand organization is highly preferred
