Sales Development Representative (Field Sales)
Location: Birmingham, AL
Candidates must live within 40 minutes of Birmingham, AL.
Contract Length: August 4, 2026 – August 6, 2027
Pay Rate: $29.00/hour plus uncapped commission.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join a high-performing field sales team focused on expanding partnerships with local restaurants in emerging markets. This role is responsible for identifying and acquiring new restaurant partners, building relationships with business owners, and driving territory growth through face-to-face sales.
This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel throughout the assigned territory. Most travel will be within approximately two hours of Birmingham, though occasional overnight stays and longer travel days may be required. Travel expenses are covered.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new restaurant partnerships within assigned emerging markets.
- Conduct in-person meetings with restaurant owners to present partnership opportunities.
- Manage a fast-paced sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and communicate the value of the platform to prospective partners.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to execute territory growth strategies.
- Utilize sales tools, collateral, and CRM systems to manage pipeline activity and customer interactions.
- Meet and exceed new business acquisition goals through strategic prospecting and relationship building.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support market expansion efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of successful closing sales experience or related business development experience.
- Previous experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs); restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage industry experience is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working in a field-based sales environment with frequent travel (approximately 50% or more).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume, transactional sales cycle.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
Compensation
- $29.00/hour
- Uncapped commission structure with additional earnings for each new restaurant partnership secured. Average monthly commission opportunity is approximately $1,900, with the potential to earn more based on performance.
