Position Overview
We are seeking a Demand Planner II to support the effective and efficient distribution of products and services to customers. This role will be responsible for developing and managing demand plans, analyzing inventory and delivery performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels, maximize revenue, and minimize excess or closeout inventory.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of demand management and inventory-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and reconcile periodic demand plans, including assortments, product flow, launches/drops, SKU productivity, and allocations.
- Manage demand planning activities to maximize revenue and minimize excess and closeout inventory.
- Communicate purchase positions, forecast variances, and changes in demand to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify, prioritize, negotiate, and resolve category-specific inventory issues.
- Lead Demand & Delivery performance analysis and provide insights to improve inventory and delivery outcomes.
- Analyze inventory data, KPIs, and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Establish, monitor, and track key inventory and delivery performance targets.
- Build awareness and understanding of inventory management practices across cross-functional teams.
- Utilize planning tools and understand system dependencies and related business processes.
- Ensure planning and reporting activities are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Contribute to operational excellence initiatives and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of directly relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with demand forecasts, inventory data, and performance KPIs.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions.
- Comfortable working with planning tools, business systems, and related technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Equivalent education and experience may be considered, including:
- Master’s degree with 0–3 years of relevant experience
- Associate degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma with 3–5 years of relevant experience
- PhD or Law degree with 1 year of relevant experience
