Data Entry Specialist

Pay: $21.92 hour

Location: Marlborough, MA (Hybrid – in office Tuesdays only)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support a post-implementation data validation and cleanup project. This individual will review records in a new system, verify document accuracy, identify missing information, and ensure contract records are complete and properly organized.

The ideal candidate has experience managing data and documents, can navigate multiple systems, and is comfortable working independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review records in a new system to identify missing documents, incomplete information, and data quality issues.
• Compare migrated records against legacy systems to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Locate missing documents in existing repositories and upload them to the appropriate records.
• Verify document metadata, including titles, categories, dates, ownership, and other key attributes.
• Correct discrepancies and ensure documents are accurately linked to the appropriate records.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm documents are uploaded correctly and accessible.
• Track findings, document corrections, and maintain completion records.
• Escalate complex discrepancies, system issues, or unresolved data concerns to project leads.

Required Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in data quality, data entry, document management, records management, content migration, or related administrative support.
• Experience reviewing and managing large volumes of data and documents accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across systems.
• Ability to navigate multiple enterprise applications, databases, or document repositories.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with contract documents, contract repositories, or records management processes.
• Familiarity with Sievo and GEP Quantum.
• Experience supporting system migrations, post-implementation validation, or data cleanup initiatives.

Additional Details

• This is a short-term contract with no anticipated extension.
• The role supports a data validation project involving approximately 4,500 records, with one to three attachments per record.
• Candidates must be comfortable working through repetitive, detail-oriented tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• On-site work is required on Tuesdays in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
