What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Lifecycle Strategist position at 24 Seven Talent?
Are you a lifecycle marketer who loves building strategies that keep customers engaged and coming back? This Customer Lifecycle Strategist role is an opportunity to shape the subscription experience end-to-end — from onboarding and education to ongoing engagement and retention — for a large, high-impact consumer subscription portfolio.
You’ll partner with product, engineering, operations, analytics, and design teams to build data-driven programs that connect with customers in a privacy-conscious way and help them get real value from their subscription.
What You’ll Do
- Design and optimize lifecycle strategies that grow engagement and retention for subscription services.
- Run structured A/B tests and experiments across channels (push, email, in-app, etc.) to continuously improve performance.
- Translate data and insights into clear strategic recommendations and next steps.
- Define end-to-end customer journeys, value propositions, and educational messaging that help users get the most out of their subscription.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams across time zones, including product, engineering, analytics, marketing, and design.
- Establish a process of continuous improvement where results are analyzed and fed back into future roadmaps and campaigns.
- Own and maintain operational briefs to ensure campaigns are executed accurately and on time.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience leading lifecycle or CRM marketing programs, ideally in a consumer subscription environment.
- Proven track record driving engagement and retention through data-driven lifecycle strategies.
- Hands-on experience testing and optimizing push notifications, email, and in-app messaging.
- Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
- Deep understanding of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks for marketing optimization.
- Analytical problem-solver who can connect data to actionable strategy and clear storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Nice to Have
- Experience aligning product, design, business, engineering, and marketing stakeholders around shared goals and roadmaps.
- Comfort presenting to both senior leadership and individual contributors, with clear and concise communication.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence without authority.
- Background working on complex, international, large-scale, time-sensitive programs.
- Proven success collaborating across teams to launch programs that deliver on core business objectives.
