Channel Account Manager SMB
Salary: $100,000 to $130,000
Location: Remote (preferred proximity to Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago, or Shelton, CT)
This role is responsible for driving sales execution and business development across assigned channel partner accounts, with a primary focus on a major national reseller and collaboration with additional strategic partners. The position centers on building strong relationships and expanding market penetration within private-sector segments.

This role is responsible for driving sales execution and business development across assigned channel partner accounts, with a primary focus on a major national reseller and collaboration with additional strategic partners. The position centers on building strong relationships and expanding market penetration within private-sector segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with sales, product, distribution, and marketing teams
- Identify and grow sales opportunities within assigned channel accounts
- Build and maintain relationships across multiple levels within large partner organizations
- Create and execute business plans to drive revenue and unit growth against defined targets
- Provide ongoing communication to partners regarding products, promotions, and programs
- Travel to partner and customer locations for presentations, trainings, and business development activities
- Support regional events, trade shows, and partner engagements
- Maintain accurate reporting and participate in regular business reviews
- Analyze market demand and identify opportunities across private-sector verticals
- 5 years of outside sales experience in IT hardware, software, or services
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience managing named accounts and understanding of commercial PC/client markets
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of channel sales models and partner ecosystems
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels internally and externally
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams
- Experience developing and executing strategic business plans
- Knowledge of commercial distribution, VAR, and NSP channels
- Technical familiarity with computer hardware and IT environments
- Relevant Microsoft or Google certifications
- Experience selling in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Prior experience working with large national resellers
- Remote role with regular onsite engagement at partner and customer locations
- 40–50% travel required (domestic and occasional international)
- Frequent use of communication and reporting tools for internal and external collaboration
