This is an opportunity for a hands-on, people-focused creative leader who can bring strong design instincts, strategic thinking, and operational rigor to fast-moving work.
As a player-coach, you will lead from the front—developing impactful campaigns, elevating visual standards, and mentoring a team of designers while staying close to the craft. Your portfolio will matter as much as your experience: we are looking for someone with a clear point of view, exceptional taste, and the ability to turn business goals into memorable creative work.
What You’ll Do
- Concept, art direct, and design brand campaigns, seasonal storytelling, and evergreen moments across digital and physical channels.
- Balance hands-on creative work with leadership, mentorship, and workload allocation for a team of 2–5 designers.
- Develop and evolve brand toolkits, visual systems, campaign rollouts, and brand guidelines.
- Lead photo and video shoots from concept through post-production.
- Partner closely with creative, marketing, merchandising, eCommerce, loyalty, and store teams to deliver cohesive work.
- Present ideas clearly and confidently to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Champion AI-enabled tools, automation, and modern production workflows that improve creative productivity and scale.
- Stay current on retail, cultural, and design trends to keep the work relevant and differentiated.
What You’ll Bring
- 6 years of creative experience in retail, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
- At least one year of experience leading, managing, or mentoring creatives.
- A strong portfolio featuring brand-defining campaign work, design, photography, video, and storytelling.
- Deep understanding of retail and the connection between in-store and digital customer experiences.
- Experience building and maintaining cohesive visual systems, brand identities, and style guides.
- Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite skills, plus working knowledge of Figma and modern production tools.
- Experience with AI-enabled creative workflows and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
What Success Looks Like
You are a collaborative, decisive creative leader with a sharp eye for imagery, typography, composition, color, and brand expression. You can move quickly without compromising quality, develop others through clear direction and feedback, and bring equal parts creative ambition and practical follow-through.
