Notes:
- Hospital – Chemotherapy experience required
- Experience in performing compounding duties in a sterile environment required.
- Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of Pharmacy required
- Fills prescriptions under the supervision of Pharmacist in hospital pharmacy or retail establishment, and performs a variety of other duties.
- Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.
- This position requires a California-licensed Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- The technician will be responsible for the packaging, preparation, and sterile compounding of intravenous medications as well as injectable medications, including chemotherapy and other biohazardous drugs.
- All duties must be performed in accordance with USP <797> and <800> standards, institutional protocols, and safety guidelines.
- At least 3 years of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician. Need candidates with hospital experience, not retail experience.
Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of Pharmacy
- High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy
