Job Description:

• Meet regularly with incarcerated individuals to assess and understand their specific communication needs.
• Provide accurate translation of verbal conversations between staff and inmates to ensure clear understanding.
• Translate written documents, forms, and notices accurately for incarcerated individuals.
• Assist in conveying legal information, including rights and procedures, in a language the inmate understands.
• Translate medical information, instructions, and health-related communications effectively.
• Facilitate understanding of educational programs and materials through precise translation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information exchanged during translation activities.
• Adhere to security protocols and document all translation activities accurately as required by facility policies.
