Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of the lobby areas public restrooms, including floors, furniture, windows, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Assist Desk with Guest requests using an inhouse radio. Various Tasks requesting i.e. Ice, Linens, Rollaways, Cribs, towels and more. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests courteously and responding promptly to their cleaning requests or inquiries.
• Handle chemical agents safely and efficiently, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep or mop hard flooring to maintain cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Use janitorial tools and cleaning equipment effectively, including vacuums, buffers, mops, and brushes.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or cleaning supplies while following manual handling safety protocols.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Maintain sanitation standards by regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring the lobby remains inviting at all times.
• Support hotel housekeeping management in maintaining cleanliness standards across public areas and assisting with special cleaning projects when needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping (making beds), custodial work, industrial cleaning, or janitorial services is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning is advantageous.
• Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) is essential for safe operations.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged physical activity required for cleaning duties.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
• Experience using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively during safety incidents or emergencies.
• Previous hotel housekeeping management or hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory.
