Building Location: Essentia Virginia Hospital Department: 2901730 HOSPITALIST SERVICES - EH DC Job Description: Education Qualifications: Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Hospitalist – East Market Duluth, Virginia, MN; Superior, WI Essentia Health is seeking exceptional hospitalists to join our East Market Team. These hospitalists will primarily be based in Duluth, providing approximately 50% of their service there, while also covering our regional hospitals in Virginia and Superior. PRACTICE SPECIFICS Ideal candidates should be flexible team players, willing to address complex issues in hospital medicine within a collaborative environment. Join a team of nearly 80 hospitalists, including physicians and NP/PAs. Enjoy great flexibility with a 1.0 FTE equating to 168 shifts, typically following a 7/7 schedule for 24 weeks per year. Mileage/rental car and lodging (if desired) are reimbursed for travel from Primary Location. Procedures are not required. Opportunities to participate in hospital-based research, quality, and clinical initiatives. Opportunity to engage with our inpatient teaching service for Duluth Family Medicine residents. Utilize Epic Electronic Medical Record throughout the entire Essentia system. Short-term, vent management (up to 24 hours) is required in Virginia. Additional training supplied if necessary. Recognized by the American Hospital Association for collaborative efforts to improve community health. 3. Essentia Health Virginia 30-bed, Level IV Trauma Center. Regional hub for local surgery and exceptional patient care, “Close to Home!” Currently undergoing a $13 million upgrade to its emergency department. Located 60 minutes from Duluth. 4. St. Mary’s Hospital in Superior 25-bed, Level IV Trauma Center. Regional hub for local surgery and exceptional patient care, “Close to Home!” Just minutes from Duluth, MN.
