JOB SUMMARY

Physician – Medical Director shall provide administrated services and overall leadership to group’s physicians, and hold physicians accountable to St. Luke’s mission, vision, core values and proactive standards. Lead strategic operations within the group, acting as a business director for the group. Physician – Medical Director shall provide Administrative Services with supporting documentation upon request.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current or pending license in Minnesota and/or WI to practice as Physician. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin. Board eligible or Board certified in the appropriate specialty

Knowledge of current principles and techniques of physician practice. Ability to function as a team leader, primary provider and role model; to accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions and outcome; to communicate effectively with patients, families, personnel and other Physicians and establish professional working relationships with the same. To recognize the legal limits of physician practice; to maintain professional competency through continuing education and independent study. Ability to support St. Luke’s goals and objectives.
