Job Summary: The Automation Maintenance Electrician position will be focused on maintaining and implementing the essential technology and equipment used by our production team. This role supports all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and installation work throughout the facility. We are specifically seeking candidates with an electrical background, including individuals currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program or candidates with recent journeyman electrician experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing electrical wiring, troubleshooting, installation, and repair work in a manufacturing and facilities environment while also supporting general maintenance operations.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
· Program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment
· Perform PLC programming, diagnostics, and modifications to support production and facility operations
· Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automation systems and related control equipment
· Assist with automation equipment installation, commissioning, and system integration projects
· Responsible for the building equipment functionality of air handlers, gutters, electrical panels, lighting, exterior maintenance and lighting
· Perform electrical wiring, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of transformers, lighting systems, machinery, fixtures, outlets, panels, and production equipment
· Assist with installation and modification of electrical circuits and equipment in accordance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards
· Coordinate and execute offsite move requests
· Ensure the production tables, box carts and bander stands are functional for the production floor
· Perform preventative maintenance for all buildings and facility systems
· General facility repair, electrical wiring and maintenance for all buildings
· Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime
· Grounds work, such as mowing, plowing, snow blowing, salting, etc.
· Maintenance and repair of machines, machine parts, and equipment
· Assists with special projects such as event setup, moves/adds, and changes to the production floor
· Maintains effective working relationships with supervisory and non-supervisory employees in production, management, quality, maintenance and other functional areas
· Follow all company safety policies and procedures related to electrical and facility maintenance work
Skills & Experience Required:
· At least 2 years of electrical experience
· Candidates currently enrolled in or seeking an electrical apprenticeship program are encouraged to apply
· Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, industrial wiring practices, and electrical/mechanical manufacturing technology and equipment is preferred
· Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals is preferred
· Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Industrial Maintenance, electronics degree, electrical license or similar program/degree is preferred
Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED required
