Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist residents during meal times to promote independence and social interaction
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in residents’ living areas and common spaces
- Support residents in engaging in community activities, social events, and recreational programs to foster socialization and community integration
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques
- Hands-on experience with patient monitoring
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance is required
- Experience in long-term care environments demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong caregiving skills is essential
- Ability to perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas while maintaining safety standards
