What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Sales position at 20/20 Vision Center?
An Optician/frame stylist is trained to fit glasses to patients and then dispense them once fabricated in our lab. The optician uses the prescription written by the eye doctor to ensure that the patient gets the proper lenses to be used to see for their occupation, their hobbies and sports. He or she will choose the best frames, lenses and lens coatings to fit their needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service at all times to our patients.
Assist patients in selecting frames, taking measurements such as pupillary distance, segment heights for progressive and standard bifocals as well as correct alignment of the frame .
Educate patients and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames for the patients.
Use our software system to accurately put in correct frame measurements, as well as lens type and any lens coatings.
Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames
Ability to identify and resolve patient complaints through trouble shooting
Assist other areas when needed
General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or higher or one year of experience related /training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
