Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Service Writer to join our automotive repair team. The Service Writer is the main point of contact between customers and technicians, responsible for understanding customer concerns, creating repair orders, and ensuring a smooth service experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns
- Create detailed repair orders and accurate service estimates
- Manage work orders, invoices, and parts coordination
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding diagnostics and repairs
- Provide updates to customers on repair status and timelines
- Recommend additional services when appropriate
- Schedule appointments and manage daily workflow
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally
- Maintain accurate records of services and transactions
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Mitchell software
- Experience with estimating, work orders, invoices, and parts
- Excellent communication skills with both technicians and customers
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (preferred, not required)
- Automotive certifications (preferred, not required)
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
