What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at 1st Defense Patrol?
1st Defense Patrol is a Bay Area security services company specializing in commercial security guard solutions for property management companies and B2B clients. We're growing and looking for a driven, full-cycle Sales Representative to own our pipeline and close business across the Greater Bay Area.
This is a field-based, in-person sales role for a true closer. You'll step into an active pipeline of warm-to-hot proposals that need to be brought across the finish line, then build and close net-new business from there. For the right person with strong business development experience and established connections in the Bay Area market, there is a path to a junior partnership with equity.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Take ownership of an existing pipeline of open proposals and active leads — drive each to a clear close or a definitive answer
• Run the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, present proposals, and close
• Sell in person — travel to client sites across the Bay Area to secure contracts (supported by phone and email outreach)
• Build new pipeline with a hunter mentality, generating and closing your own leads
• Represent 1st Defense Patrol professionally in the field with a polished, client-ready presence
• Develop a complete understanding of our operations so you can sell independently and confidently
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Proven full-cycle B2B sales experience with a strong track record of closing
• Experience selling security services, or selling into property management / commercial accounts, strongly preferred (background with firms such as Allied Universal is a plus)
• Based in the Greater Bay Area with local market knowledge; existing client connections or a book of business is a major plus and may open a partnership/equity path
• Self-motivated, professional, and comfortable closing deals face-to-face
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (this role requires regular travel to client sites)
• Minimum of three professional references
WHAT WE OFFER
• Base salary $70,000 plus commission on contract value
• Health benefits available after an initial period (30–90 days)

• A flexible, field-based role — be in the Bay Area, but no requirement to report to an office
• Real growth potential, including a possible path to junior partnership with equity for top performers
LOCATION & TRAVEL
This is a remote, field-based role. You'll spend your time in the market closing deals across the Greater Bay Area. There's no in-office reporting requirement — you just need to be based in the area and able to travel to client sites.
