In this role, you'll guide applicants through the mortgage lending process, build lasting relationships, and provide exceptional service from application to closing.
About Us1st Community Credit Union proudly serve communities across Monroe, La Crosse, Trempealeau, Jackson, Buffalo, Eau Claire, Clark, Wood, Adams, Juneau, Sauk, Richland, Crawford, and Vernon counties, with convenient branch locations in Sparta, West Salem, and Tomah, WI.
What You'll Do- Interview members and applicants to prepare and process loan applications in accordance with lending policies and procedures.
- Communicate loan decisions clearly and professionally to applicants.
- Ensure mortgage loan transactions are processed accurately and efficiently throughout the entire lending process.
- Maintain current knowledge of credit union products, secondary market requirements, lending regulations, and compliance standards.
- Respond to inquiries regarding credit union products and services with a high level of member service.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services that meet members' financial needs.
- Develop mortgage lending business through referrals, networking, and relationships with realtors, contractors, and community business partners.
- Stay informed on mortgage industry trends, market conditions, and lending developments.
- Provide financial guidance and counseling to help members make informed borrowing decisions.
- An associate's degree in finance and/or three years of real estate lending experience preferred.
- Secondary market experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to build relationships and provide outstanding member service.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
