Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX. This role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems, as well as performing related plumbing tasks as needed. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing troubleshooting on HVAC and related electrical components, and completing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and safety. The technician will interact directly with customers, explain findings and recommended solutions in clear terms, and document all work performed in accordance with company standards. The role also involves adhering to industry regulations, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines while supporting the overall quality and efficiency of field operations.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, controls, and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of plumbing fundamentals relevant to heating and air system installations and repairs.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Understanding of EPA guidelines and refrigerant handling; EPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Foundational electricity skills, including reading wiring diagrams and safely working with electrical components.
- Previous experience as an HVAC technician or in a closely related mechanical trade.
- Ability to use standard HVAC tools, diagnostic instruments, and measurement devices accurately.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
- Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or trade certification in HVAC is a plus.
