About the Opportunity
1st Choice, LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Dietitian to provide on-site nutritional care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a structured residential healthcare environment. This facility supports individuals who require elevated levels of therapeutic, behavioral, and medical oversight. The Dietitian will play a key role in improving residents’ nutritional health, supporting interdisciplinary care teams, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for Dietitians who have experience—or strong interest—in working with specialized populations, behavioral health, and long-term residential care settings.
- Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive dietary assessments for new and returning residents.
- Provide ongoing nutritional evaluations, progress notes, and monthly reporting.
- Review menus and ensure dietary plans align with clinical and behavioral needs.
- Track meal intake, supplements, food temperature logs, and weight changes.
- Provide dietary consultations and collaborate closely with clinical staff, including nursing and program managers.
- Participate in a structured orientation (including MANDT training and CPR/First Aid).
- Maintain accurate documentation in resident records and facility systems.
- Adhere to all infection control, HIPAA, and privacy regulations.
- Required QualificationsActive Maryland Dietitian/Nutritionist License.
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing dietetic or nutritional services.
- Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a behavioral and therapeutic care environment.
- Strong documentation, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to complete all required background checks and onboarding requirements.
