Job Summary
The Personal Banker will be cross trained for customer service and teller duties, serving as a single point of contact for walk-in and phone customers, fulfilling sales, service and referral needs. Multi-faceted responsibilities range from cash handling and basic transactions, to product and service sales, and referrals to other lines of business. Primary skills include key product knowledge, relationship building, customer service, and expert referral skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients through personalized service and ongoing communication.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services, including loans, savings accounts, and investment options.
- Manage customer accounts with accuracy, handling cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and balancing cash drawers daily.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activities by monitoring transactions and adhering to security protocols.

- Educate customers on banking procedures, financial software tools, and digital banking options to enhance their experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in financial sales or retail banking is highly desirable.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Familiarity with banking operations including cash handling, debits & credits, cash management, and cashiering.
- Proficiency in using financial software systems and basic math skills for transaction accuracy.
- Ability to perform balancing cash drawers accurately.
