Enfield Enterprises, a well-established company and leader in federal government construction services has an immediate need for a controller to join and help lead our accounting team. Essential Job FunctionsReview and reconcile GL accounts monthly.Prepare and upload weekly positive pay file to bank.Lead month-end and year-end close out process.Prepare standard and adjusting journal entries for approval and entry.Assist with preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly financial statements to management.Manage coding of all general ledger transactions.Assist with reviewing and approving accounts payable invoices.Update and review fixed asset depreciation schedule as need.Assist with external audits and provide information as needed.Prepare and file monthly sales tax reports.Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.Oversee day-to-day accounting processes and data input.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.Weekly meeting with CFO to review financial standing, discuss month end closing issues, processes, and/or changes.Assist with training staff on procedures.Occasionally perform duties outside scope of job description. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and minimum of 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.High level of judgment, adaptability, and attention to detail.Ability to set realistic goals or make plans independently.Understand, execute, and remember complex instructions.Ability to encompass abstract ideas and problem solving.Excellent organization and time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-starter and ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.Extensive knowledge of Accounting Principles and GAAP.Job Costing and WIP experience within Construction.Knowledge of TimberScan, Procore, LCP Tracker and Sage, desired.
