Overview
The historic 1880 Union Hotel is reopening its Saloon and Lobby Bar and expanding its private event and wedding program. We are building a small, talented kitchen team to support:
- Saloon service (Thursdays - Sundays)
- Weddings & private events
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Line Cook who thrives in both service and event environments.
Responsibilities
- Execute à la carte dishes for Saloon service
- Support small-plate and bar menu for Lobby Bar nights
- Assist with prep and execution for weddings and private events (family-style and banquet service)
- Maintain clean, organized stations and walk-ins
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Support prep production throughout the week
- Assist with breakdown and kitchen reset after events
Experience
- 2 years professional kitchen experience
- Comfortable working both restaurant service and event/banquet service
- Strong knife skills and foundational cooking techniques
- Able to move efficiently during service while staying calm and organized
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Reliable weekend availability required
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
- Thursdays - Sundays (Saloon)
- Select Fridays/Saturdays for weddings & private events
- Occasional prep shifts
