Who We Are
At 163rd Street Improvement Council, we help people move from homelessness to stability, especially those too often left out of the system. We’ve been doing this in the South Bronx since 1966. Today, through our housing programs we are getting back to our roots and are working daily towards real support, real housing, and real outcomes.
The Role
You’ll lead the clinical side of the program supporting Case Managers, and Residential Aides, keeping services strong, and making sure residents get the care they need.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support clinical staff (weekly supervision day-to-day guidance).
- Keep the program aligned with OMH standards and best practices.
- Review documentation, audit charts, treatment plans, and overall quality of care.
- Run team meetings and review client care, treatment plans, and provide service trainings case conferences.
- Step in for direct case management services when needed.
- Partner with the Program Director on program improvements.
- Build relationships with community providers and partners.
What You Bring
- Master's in social work (required).
- 1-2 yrs. experience leading teams in mental health or similar settings.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn OMH regulations and clinical documentation.
- Organized, direct communicator, and comfortable making decisions.
- Flexible and willing to step in when needed (including occasional evenings, weekends/on call).
