Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of computer systems and mobile devices, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various operating systems, hardware components, and troubleshooting techniques. You will work closely with customers to provide exceptional technical support and service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with computer hardware and software across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and iOS.
- Utilize hand tools and soldering techniques to perform repairs on various devices.
- Conduct thorough analysis of equipment malfunctions o achieve accurate diagnosis and remedy.
- Provide technical support for customers both in office and on site as needed.
- Assist in the retail sales of computer components and accessories by providing knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
- Read and interpret vendor service guides including schematics to understand device layouts and repair requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and repair techniques to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- CompTIA A certification or equivalent experience required.
- Ability to attain certifications in Apple, Dell, Lenovo and Microsoft Surface within 60 days of hire (vendor online training provided)
- Proven experience in computer hardware repair, software troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Familiarity with mobile devices including laptops, tablets and iPhones desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose devices effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools for equipment repair tasks.
- Experience with service operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
