What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager position at 12th Circuit Judicial Court?
The Twelfth Judicial Circuit has an opening for a Court Program Specialist II (Civil and Family Case Manager). The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist judges and magistrates with the timely disposition of cases through case management, case monitoring, and program implementation. The position is responsible for performing administrative and case management functions in circuit and county civil divisions as well as the family division in support of the timely resolution of civil and family cases, while adhering to the time standards established in the rules of general practice and judicial administration. This position is responsible for collecting and reporting on case/program data and maintaining databases as needed. The Civil and Family Case Manager works under the general supervision of a Program Coordinator, developing work methods and sequences.
The Civil and Family Case Manager will be based out of Sarasota, Manatee or Venice. The Civil and Family Case Manager will work independently but must be able to demonstrate flexibility to help meet the needs of the civil and family divisions. Reports to the Case Management Program Coordinator (State of Florida position). Travel to other courthouse locations in the circuit will be required.
Duties and responsibilities
Review case data and reports for case integrity and accuracy; identify discrepancies and report to clerk;
Review pending case data and identify cases in need of judicial intervention; determines whether case requires a case management conference or appropriate hearing;
Draft correspondence and Orders;
Maintain statistics for civil and family division; and creates and maintains records for efficient case management;
Perform related case searches and criminal background checks;
Schedule and attend hearings;
Other duties as assigned.
