Role Description
We are seeking a high-caliber Investment Banking Sr. Associate or Vice President with a strong life sciences transaction background to join a leading boutique life sciences investment bank. This role offers significant exposure to M&A and capital markets transactions, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility within lean deal teams.
Candidates with prior experience or similar life sciences–focused investment banks are preferred.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area for a Senior Analyst/Vice President - Advisor. The professional will lead and support client-focused strategic advisory and investment banking services, including conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing pitch materials, and assisting with transaction execution. Responsibilities also include developing industry insights, managing client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in making strategic financial recommendations and decisions.
Transaction Execution
- Lead or support execution of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital raise transactions within the life sciences sector
- Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, and deal materials
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage data rooms
- Prepare and review CIMs, management presentations, and board materials
Client & Deal Team Interaction
- Work closely with senior bankers on client communications and deal strategy
- Participate in client meetings, investor discussions, and negotiations
- Mentor junior team members and oversee associate analyst work
Qualifications
- 4 years of investment banking experience
- Prior experience in life sciences/healthcare investment banking required
- Demonstrated closed transaction experience across M&A and/or capital markets
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, boutique environment
- Strong expertise in Financial Analysis, Investment Strategy, and Data Interpretation.
- Experience with Client Relationship Management, Team Collaboration, and Effective Communication.
- Proficiency in Market Research, Competitive Analysis, and Strategic Planning.
- Knowledge in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors and familiarity with Capital Markets and M&A processes.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of project management, presentation skills, and meeting client objectives.
- Motivated individual with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
