We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced multifamily real estate professional to join Finance FP&A as a Manager. The Manager will be instrumental in developing and overseeing strategies that enable decision making by telling the story of financial and operational results of the past, present, and future. In partnership with asset management and other cross-functional leaders, including Revantage (LivCor’s affiliate real estate services company), we enable these teams to execute strategic decisions at the community and portfolio level. The Manager of Finance will lead a growing team of 2 financial professionals responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting, market/portfolio/regional analytics, budgeting and reforecasting, and market research. This role will require a deep understanding of multifamily asset management and excellent communication skills to effectively liaise both with internal teams and with Blackstone. This individual will possess a demonstrated history of successfully (a) building cross-functional relationships, (b) analyzing risks and opportunities of a multifamily community and its market, and (c) executing scalable financial analysis processes. What you will do: Execute the Finance FP&A department strategy under the guidance of the regional Finance leadership team and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, notably asset management, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Lead and engage a high-performing team of 2 financial professionals, emphasizing talent development, oversight of team workflow, detail reviewing work, and resource allocation. Act as a key support contact for analytical and ad-hoc financial requests from the executive leadership team and Blackstone, providing timely and insightful information to aid in strategic decision-making. Play a pivotal role in the annual budget and reforecast processes, working closely with FP&A leadership, asset management, and cross-functional leaders. Contribute actively to the preparation of board books for high-profile meetings. Analyze financial performance (rent, occupancy, operating expenses), benchmarking (comparison to LivCor competitor set and REIT peers), market trends (supply, wage and job growth), and analytics to identify underperformance in communities and markets. Collaborate with teams to inform strategic decision-making that support our business goals. Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing data from industry publications and tools, including RealPage suite (Performance Analytics, Market Analytics, etc.) and Green Street. Stay informed about industry trends to contribute to data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with FP&A leadership and HR to establish an employee development framework, providing coaching and mentorship to people managers to enhance leadership skills and implement best practices within the finance team. What you should have: Minimum of 6 years FP&A multifamily asset management Minimum of 3 years successfully managing and mentoring an FP&A team A comprehensive understanding of real estate fundamentals and capital markets Ability to effectively and confidently speak to data-driven multifamily strategy Ability to write and present at high levels in a business context, in a clear and concise manner Adaptable leadership style to navigate change management and priorities, with the ability to voice concerns and escalate issues as needed Ability to perform a detail review ensuring accuracy and consistency Strong analytical skills with a deep knowledge of and mastery of Excel and PowerPoint. Base Compensation Range: $135,000.00 To $160,000.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience. Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
