Reviews all new starts for consistency prior to treatment, verifying patient positioning and field orientation, and checking the record and verify system for prescription, treatment parameters, doses, treatment accessories, and monitor units. Performs morning Quality Assurance (QA) on the treatment unit, assessing whether all equipment is operating according to physics policy and calling the appropriate person immediately after equipment malfunctions. Assists in maintaining department supplies and provides supervised education experiences for students that fulfill curriculum requirements of the academic institution. As required by facility, participates in after hours on-call coverage, maintains competency with afterhours treatment coverage, performs 2D treatment calculations, and works with minimal direction and supervision. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Computer literate • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records and record and verify systems • Knowledge of anatomical structures for localization • Technical skills to accomplish treatment plans proposed by Radiation Oncologists • Ability to learn and use Radiation Therapy software packages Education: • High School Grad or Equiv [Required] • Technical/Vocational School [Required] Field of Study: • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy program Work Experience: • 1 radiation therapy experience [Preferred] Additional Information: • N/A Licenses and Certifications: • Certified Radiologic Technologists (CRT) [Required] OR • Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)ARRT)) [Required] • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/2vvwrzem Pay Range: $35.78 - $66.55 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
