You’ve likely spent a couple of years in a shipping or warehouse role and understand how important accuracy and timing are when it comes to getting orders out the door. You’re comfortable using computers, working with shipping carriers, and moving materials throughout a facility. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, chemical odors, and moving equipment. Personal protective equipment may be required in designated areas, including eye protection, hearing protection, and appropriate footwear.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, both domestic and international, with a variety of transportation carriers
- Using shipping and inventory software to track, prioritize, and route orders
- Preparing and managing shipping documentation including pick slips, bills of lading, advanced shipping notices, and compliance paperwork
- Directing the flow of packages from preparation through final shipment
- Inspecting labels, barcodes, and completed orders to ensure accuracy
- Packaging outgoing orders according to common carrier and international shipping requirements
- Resolving issues related to shipments and delivery discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and shipping regulations
- Assisting in evaluating new packaging materials and shipping systems
- Using a forklift or tow motor to safely move materials throughout the facility
- Picking and delivering parts from warehouse and cage areas to workstations according to work orders
- Negotiating and coordinating shipping rates including LTL, truckload, small package, and international freight
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse shipping environment
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification on the job
- Valid driver’s license free from major infractions for occasional local deliveries
- Strong communication skills for working with coworkers, vendors, and customers
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and write in English and perform basic math calculations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout warehouse, production, and office areas
- Manual dexterity for handling materials, operating equipment, and performing repetitive motions
- Visual acuity to inspect materials, labels, and equipment
- Ability to sit for extended periods when performing computer work or driving company vehicles
- Sufficient speech and hearing for frequent in-person and telephone communication
