What We Do

110 Metalworks is a veteran-led manufacturing company located just outside of Syracuse, NY. We make high-quality metal parts for industries like aerospace, medical, defense, and industrial equipment. Our team uses advanced tools and processes like welding, machining, and assembly to make custom parts and assemblies for other manufacturers.

What You’ll Do:

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Sets up and runs CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up by installing and adjusting fixtures, vise jaws, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, sample work pieces, and adhering to international standards.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• 3 years experience operating and performing operator level maintenance/trouble shooting on CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, control settings, machining methods, and sequences.
• Ability to inspect and measure parts.
• Identify and contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement.
  
  

Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:45am – 3:15pm
