The Janitor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the manufacturing facility with a focus on recycling. Duties / Responsibilities: Removing and properly disposing of cardboard. Keeping grounds cleared of trash and debris. Responsible for bailing/compacting all recyclable materials. Keep totes organized and processed in a timely manner. Ability to be trained and operate a forklift & golf cart. Assisting in department auditing and identifying other materials that can be recycled. Attend and participates in ISO committee meetings. Sweep or vacuum and damp mop hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors, multiple times a day Cleaning of break room tables and team member areas throughout the workday Dust work surfaces, other furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces Clean restrooms 2 times daily, including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors and walls Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap Clean entrance glass and other interior glass Work effectively with other team members Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, time & attendance Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners Remove trash from containers and replace torn or soiled liner Clean designated smoking area daily Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and / or carry up to 35 lbs. Must be able to effectively verbally communicate and exchange information with others. Work will be completed in parts of the facility that are not temperature controlled. Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching Why Clayton?
