Job Title: CNC Operator and Programmer Reports To: Mill Area Coordinator Location: DuraCraft Solutions Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The CNC Operator and Programmer for End Panels is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality end panels according to design specifications. This role ensures precision cutting, drilling, and routing of MDF, laminate, or hardwood components used in cabinetry. The ideal candidate has experience in reading technical drawings, working with CAD/CAM software, and maintaining safe and efficient production processes. Key Responsibilities: Program CNC machines (e.g., Biesse, Homag, etc.) for cutting and routing cabinet end panels based on production drawings and specifications. Set up and operate CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling, materials, and machine calibration. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cut lists. Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure accuracy and consistency in part dimensions. Troubleshoot machine or programming issues and make adjustments as needed to maintain production flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to improve efficiency and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machines, reporting issues promptly. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of experience operating and programming CNC machinery in a woodworking or cabinetry environment. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Alphacam, or similar). Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics. Familiarity with woodworking materials such as MDF, plywood, and laminate. Strong math skills and ability to take precise measurements. Preferred: Technical or trade school certification in CNC programming or manufacturing. Experience with nested-based CNC routers. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Stand, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods. Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
