Verify and maintain accuracy of inventory through counting and reconciling inventory records and transactions. Applicable factors that quantify the scope of the job, such as the number of direct reports, department budget responsibility, sales volume, cost of goods sold, and other relevant factors. It is critical that data has a high degree of accuracy. Timeliness and accuracy affect inventory value used in financial reporting. Monthly inventory of $15 - $17 million How you will do it: Coordinates factory’s cycle count program, including annual review and update of program requirements, daily selection, audit, reconciliation, and determination of adjustments Weekly companywide reporting of program results and summary reports on findings and recommendations for corrective action Daily PCC reporting of program results and summary reports on findings and recommendations for corrective action Monthly summary report on corrective action implemented Determines and documents reasons for “missing paperwork” problems and recommends and implements solutions Resolves “immediate action” items daily as requested by Operations, Accounting, or other personnel Transforms this position from a reactive/fire-fighting job to a proactive/process management and assurance position Perform Physical Inventory planning, execution, and reconciliation support Performs additional Cost Accounting duties as assigned Detects and corrects inventory problems in a timely manner Develops procedures and processes to eliminate the cause of inventory inaccuracy Keep track of data and source documents Prepares and sorts of source documents, and identifies and interprets data with inventory Make necessary corrections to information entered Compiles, sorts, and verifies the accuracy of data to be entered Properly states inventory for financial purposes Reviews error reports and enters corrections into the computer Responds to inquiries regarding entered data Establishes inventory accuracy ownership What we look for: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
