Senior Scientist I - Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spec Specialist

We are looking to fill a Senior Scientist I - Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spec Specialist position working as a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients located in Rahway, NJ. Responsibilities Utilizes analytical method development to characterize small molecules, peptides, antibody drug conjugates and others Conducts purity analysis of investigational compounds by liquid chromatography (LC) Checks instrument performance daily, prepares mobile phases, and performs routine upkeep of walkup liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instruments Responds to end-user repair calls for LC-MS and troubleshoots/repairs simple issues such as leaks or clogs Submits and coordinates repair tickets for more complex issues Maintains accurate documentation and records Responsible for analyzing High Throughput Experiment (HTE) samples Conducts and supports research work with the client’s discovery and analytical research department Required Skills and Experience Experienced in biologics analytical characterization techniques such as: Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) High resolution mass spectrometry Experience with Waters, Sciex, Agilent, LC-MS, and others Preferred Skills Size exclusion-high-performance liquid chromatography (SEC) Ion exchange-high-performance liquid chromatography (IEX) Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) Qualifications BS (5 yrs.) of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or biologics testing lab MS (2 yrs.) of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or biologics testing lab About Parexel FSP The CMC Operations group is part of Parexel FSP.
