Building Location: Building B - St Marys Medical Center Department: 1006480 QUALITY AND SAFETY - EH SS Job Description: This position is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of Essentia Health Sepsis Initiatives. The goal of the Sepsis Program is to optimize clinical outcomes for population that have, or are at risk for Sepsis. This will be accomplished through the development and implementation of, and adherence to evidence-based practices and protocols; establishing and cultivating relationships with regional providers, EMS systems, and other health systems; ongoing process improvement to meet or exceed evolving clinical, organizational and community standards in the population; close collaboration with the Multi-Disciplinary team caring for these patients; surveillance of current in-patients with sepsis or at risk for sepsis to facilitate timely interventions that improve outcomes; facilitates or provides ongoing sepsis education to all appropriate internal and external team members; delivers timely feedback on care of sepsis patients to the care team to foster learning. Education Qualifications: To be considered for this position you must live in the Essentia Health Footprint prferrably the Greater Duluth area so you can be onsite regularly. Work Experience: 3-5 years clinical experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred.
