This includes ensuring proper function of sanitary, waste, and stormwater drainage systems, which are critical to infection prevention and operational safety in hospitals and medical environments. The technician responds to routine and emergency drain service calls while following health codes, safety regulations, and hospital infection control policies. Required Qualifications: Drain Technician High school education or equivalent required. Minimum one year of plumbing experience required. Mechanically inclined and proficient with plumbing tools, drain cleaning equipment, and diagnostic devices required. Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics required. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of customers (e.g., patient care providers, patients, visitors, management, etc.) are required. Basic computer, email, and database skills required. Current valid motor vehicle operator license and ability to meet and maintain insurability required. Preferred Qualifications: Drain Technician Familiarity with healthcare facility systems (medical gas, biohazard waste lines) is preferred.
