Department: 11602 Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center - Copy Center and Mail Room Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm No weekends, No holidays Pay Range $18.50 - $27.75 Major Responsibilities: Sorts, distributes, delivers and picks up all interdepartmental, special (documents, boxes, reports, etc.) and U.S. mail quickly and efficiently. Prepares all outgoing U.S. mail, including sealing, weighing, metering, verifying appropriate postage, certifying, labeling and bagging. Resolves routine mail room problems with minimal assistance. May perform other clerical functions such as faxing, filing, photocopying, answering phones, etc. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: None Required. Education Required: High School Graduate. Experience Required: No experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to learn to use appropriate mail room equipment. Ability to efficiently and accurately deliver/collect mail to/from appropriate departments and mail stations. Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary. Must be able to deal with a high degree of accuracy Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must be able to lift and push bags and boxes of mail that could weigh up to 40 to 50 pounds. Must be able to push and maneuver mail carts in all areas. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist and stoop throughout the workday. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
