Overview: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p Minimum Pay Rate: $38.53 *After 90 days, staff may be eligible to work from home 1-2 days per week. Job Description Summary: Develops, implements, and manages effective systems to evaluate and improve patient safety and quality care. Leads the investigation and identification of opportunities related to patient safety and quality care, including serious safety events. Job Description: Essential Functions: Leads and facilitates patient safety event investigations, managing processes and teams. Collaborates with employee safety team on employee safety events, investigations, and action plans. Supports and guides root cause analysis and action planning. Collaborates on the facilitation of improvement projects and other safety initiatives. Monitors and evaluates safety event data and trends, identifying patterns and opportunities for improvement. Maintains databases and tracks safety events, investigations, and action plans. Provides reports on safety events and data to leadership and safety collaboratives, ensuring any concerns are escalated appropriately. Participates in and facilitates safety huddles and mentors fellows and staff in safety investigations and improvement processes. Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, maintaining knowledge of applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies to guide safety efforts and support continuous improvement. Education Requirement: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or related field, required. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field, preferred. Certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), preferred. Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), preferred. Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills. Effective organizational and project management skills. Flexibility and continuous improvement mindset. Working knowledge of hospital systems and quality performance improvement approaches. Experience: Three years of clinical experience, required.
