Position Summary:
The EHSS Senior Officer is responsible for safeguarding company personnel, property, and assets through the effective monitoring of CCTV, access control systems, dispatch operations, and physical surveillance. Provides leadership to peers within assigned shift, coordinating daily routine safety/security tasks, to include communicating daily briefings and pass-downs, monitoring assigned patrol activities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all EHSS-related communications and is responsible for documenting incidents involving employees, products, or company assets. In addition to these duties, they collaborate closely with Human Resources and the EHSS Director to ensure consistent enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Working schedule: 8:00pm-4:00am 5 days a week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage badge access program.
- Manage key distribution for campus.
- Provide training to new officers.
- Respond to calls for assistance from departments throughout the company.
- Prepare and review incident reports.
- Provide safety, security, and fire safety support activities working with department supervisory staff conducting hazard analysis, incident investigation and root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct general inspections for safety and security risks. Conduct department inspections for equipment and facilities maintenance
- Investigate and evaluate all employee safety and security improvement suggestions and assistance.
- Investigate crimes against the company by gathering information from all appropriate resources.
- Collaborate with departmental supervisors to support site safety, security, and life safety operations; respond promptly to organization-wide requests for assistance, including burglary and fire alarms both on and off campus.
- Provide emergency medical response, including administering First Aid and CPR, to all medical incidents across the organization.
- Provide relief for lobby receptionists. This position requires the use of professional customer service skills while greeting and giving directions to customers, issuing visitor badges and enforcing the Corporate Identification Badge procedure.
- Assist paramedics and/or in-house nurse when required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1- 2 years recent security experience.
- A professional demeanor and excellent communication skills are required to effectively interact with all levels of company personnel and outside contacts. The ability to diplomatically resolve potentially disruptive situations is essential.
- The ability to produce accurate, concise and detailed reports that can withstand review by the highest levels of company personnel and various legal authorities is essential.
- The ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain composure while dealing with frequent distractions is required. Multi-tasking is a must.
- Department of Public Safety Standard Training (DPSST) certification is required within 30 days of hire. (Oregon Only) or State specific Training for Security
- Must be able to work a variable schedule with possible overtime.
- A working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications is required.
- This position is security and safety sensitive. If offered the position, candidate will need to pass a drug screening, background check and driving record review.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required.
- Physical requirements include continuous walking (10-15 miles per shift), frequent running, frequent climbing, occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs), occasional bending and frequent driving, and working in warm and cold environments.
