What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Associate, Specialist (Mechanical Engraving) position at 1-800-Flowers Family of Brands?
Position Summary:
The Production departments create personalized gifts for our customers. Manufacturing Associates assist in a production line personalizing each unique gift. Manufacturing Associates will inspect products, load and unload fixtures, may operate machinery, and adhere to all PMall safety guidelines and standards.
1st Shift: 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 hourly
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce goods in accordance with company guidelines.
- Operate Equipment used in various production areas assist in the production process.
- Load/unload equipment as needed.
- Perform cleaning and minor maintenance on all production equipment within department.
- Identify opportunities and recommend ideas for increasing productivity.
- Report any quality or equipment issues.
- Take direction from supervisor/manager.
- Reads and matches item label to customer’s request.
- Ability to match colors, words, and products.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently, as well as be a team player.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Ensure all jobs are ready for equipment as needed.
- Continuously check quality.
- Reports to department supervisor or assigned POC.
- Attendance and punctuality are crucial.
- Follows company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible with shift during our peak periods.
The expected hourly pay range for this position is $15.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
