Production Support Specialist

We are currently seeking a Production Support Specialist for 1st shift in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Objective/Scope:

The Production Support Specialist is responsible for supporting all areas of the production process, including, but not limited to Issuing, Cutting, Wire Preparation, Assembly, Quality Inspection, and Shipping. The Product Support Specialist will learn and understand how to perform all applicable tasks within the production process and be available to work in any/all areas on any given workday.

Position in the Organization:

· Reports to the Production Manager

Responsibilities:

· Print job packets, pick raw materials, and issue to production in alignment with ERP system

· Use cutting, crimping, and stripping equipment or hand tools to modify wire/cable in alignment with product drawing

· Attach connectors and insert connections in alignment with product drawing

· Create, modify, and apply product labels

· Perform inspections and/or testing to ensure product functionality and compliance to drawing

· Pack, label, and ship products using various web-based software (ERP, FedEx, UPS, etc.)

· Other duties as assigned

Education and Skills:

· High School Diploma or equivalent, or demonstrated competency in the skills required for the position

· Experience in wire harness assembly is preferred, but not required

· Ability to read engineering drawings and prints is a plus

· Previous experience in warehousing/shipping is a plus

· Previous experience with ERP systems is a plus

Technical Requirements:

· Use and knowledge of a ruler is essential

· Ability to use small hand tools required

· Soldering aptitude preferred, but not required

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
