At Alpine Eagle, we are a team of specialists with backgrounds in defence, aerospace engineering and machine learning, building the first airborne, swarm-based system to provide protection against the rising drone threat. We believe that recent conflicts have shown the malicious and disruptive potential of drones in both civilian and defense scenarios. In addition, we are convinced that the next step in counter-drone is air-to-air. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives and expand our presence in the defense sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and nurturing partnerships with military, governmental, and defense-industry stakeholders, driving adoption of Alpine Eagle’s C-UAV technologies.


🎯 How you will make an impact:


  • Drive Engagement: Identify, prioritize, and engage with stakeholders across ministries of defense, NATO-aligned institutions, OEMs, and systems integrators.
  • Build Strategic Alliances: Initiate and develop partnerships with primes and tier-1 contractors in the defense supply chain, enabling integration of Alpine Eagle’s systems into larger platforms.
  • Shape Market Strategy: Guide market entry approaches for new regions or verticals and advise internal teams on shifting geopolitical or regulatory landscapes.
  • Lead Capture Efforts: Oversee the capture of government and defense contracts, including pre-qualification, bid strategy, and teaming arrangements.
  • Represent Alpine Eagle: Act as a brand ambassador at defense expos, consortiums, and security briefings—translating field insight into action.
  • Support Negotiations: Collaborate with legal and executive leadership on pricing, licensing, and partnership terms.


✅ What you need to be successful:


  • 3 years of business development or program capture experience in defense, ideally also in aerospace technology
  • Solid familiarity with defense procurement frameworks (e.g. NATO NSIP, EU Defence Fund, BAAINBw, DGA, MoD processes)
  • Strong interpersonal network within defense or governmental technology environments
  • Confident in contract lifecycle management, from opportunity spotting to final award
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; thriving in scale-up environments
  • Able to travel across Europe and occasionally beyond
