PERSEC Specialist Culpepper & Associates Security Services (CASS) is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Personnel Security Specialist (PERSEC) to join our team at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The Personnel Security Specialist’s primary function is to handle personnel security functions in support of the customer’s facility and organization. The position will provide “day-to-day” PERSEC services for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. Employment Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday - 8am to 4pm Hourly Wage: $29.57 per hour. Exposure or basic knowledge of the following databases:
• Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
• Electronic Badging Access Control System (EBACS). Duties and Responsibilities:
• As a PERSEC Specialist, you will work the “day-to-day” PERSEC services for Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities.
• Badge Systems management, creating badges, and maintaining access control logs.
• In/out-process assigned and attached personnel; assist with executing non-disclosure agreements.
• Conducts indoctrinations/initial security briefings/debriefings.
• Processes in/out-going clearance certification/visit access requests. • Ensures information from incoming requests are input in the USSOCOM Enterprise Work Management System (EWMS) database or EBACS.
• Briefs visitors on local security procedures, to include escort requirements, protection of classified information and the use of media/electronic devices and prohibited items. Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI security clearance in support of SAP and SCI programs.
• Demonstrated security knowledge and experience with DOD and Intelligence Community processing and SCIF operations.
• Experience building good working relationships with people at all levels.
• Excellent administrative skills with good communication, judgment, and decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and identify solutions.
