Title: Sales Manager
Exemption Status : Salaried
Department : Windy City Harvest
Reports to : Director of Operations
Regular Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday; one Saturday a month.
Supervises : Sales Team - direct report.
Position Overview:
Windy City Harvest, the urban agriculture division of the Chicago Botanic Garden, delivers the transformative benefits of growing, consuming, and sharing food locally. Our primary location is Farm on Ogden, a community hub and training center in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, with 10-plus additional farm sites on the West and South Sides of Chicago. Windy City Harvest grows and distributes 100,000 pounds of produce annually and reaches more than 2,000 participants per year with programs focused on urban agriculture training and community food access. The Sales Manager ensures that Windy City Harvest demonstrates an entrepreneurial approach to our work as we train the next generation of beginning farmers in Chicago. The Sales Manager is responsible for the management of the business plan of Windy City Harvest’s social enterprise, including internal and external earned revenue. This role ensures that sales are completed in a timely fashion to maintain a reliable and predictable revenue stream.

Physical Demands:
Some requirements for lifting, pushing, or pulling items up to 50 pounds, able to work in all weather conditions and within walk-in cooler temperatures. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, listening, speaking, and keyboarding. Use of office equipment including computers, telephones, copiers, and scanners.
