What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at The Village?
The qualified candidate will perform various tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the community and residents' rooms and apartments.
Qualifications and Job Skills: Ability to understand and follow task orientation and instructions, rules and procedures for safely transferring housekeeping loads, infection control and other safety procedures. Experience of up to 6 months preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Be alert and active in supporting The Village's commitment to safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents' rights;
Vacuum rooms with carpeting;
Sweep and mop tile floors; bathroom and kitchen;
Empty laundry from carts;
Clean bathroom sinks, showers, baths, and toilets;
Clean mirrors;
Move furniture as needed to permit cleaning;
Change bedding, including turning of mattresses;
Participates actively in team efforts to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout residents' apartment;
Pushing housekeeping carts to apartments;
Watches out for residents' personal items to ensure they are not lost or misplaced.
