Faculty Lecturer - Part-Time (BCHS - 2610_1050))
The Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking an individual at the Lecturer level to teach BCHS 2610 - 1050: “Concept Mapping: A Participatory Research Method”. This position is part-time temporary and outside the tenure stream. Required qualifications are at least a master’s level degree and experience in the public health field and the ability to prepare students by providing hands-on training in concept mapping research. The goal of the course is to familiarize students with example applications of the research method and to provide training related to concept mapping data collection and analysis. Concept Mapping gives community members and other stakeholders a unique chance to have their own words to communicate ideas and concepts. The instructor will lead the discussion, interactive learning exercises, and identify examples of current research that will be used to provide an understanding of Concept Mapping and the associated strengths and limitations.
