Blue Ridge, GA based custom and luxury home builder, looking to hire a seasoned construction superintendent, with at least 5 years of experience in the residential or commercial construction field.

This position will be responsible for managing and executing projects from beginning to end, including planning, on site work, overseeing subcontractors and supply delivery, maintaining policies, keeping the site safe and maintaining a set schedule and budget.

This position will also be responsible for completing all phases of on-site supervision and be able to manage paperwork and provide professional communications between our company and our subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors and vendors to complete each project on time.
  • Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
  • Communicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute his job duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Perform inspections and schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location.
  • Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projects.
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.
  • Set an example in keeping the job seat organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with high quality, on budget, and on time.

  • Skilled in giving coaching and feedback to employees and subs.
  • Ability to follow direction and ask for clarification or help when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, especially when addressing clients, subcontractors, or county/city officials.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to write professional reports and emails.
  • Good reading comprehension for technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability and skill to perform on-site work when necessary to get the project completed.
  • Basic computer and phone skills (text, email, voicemail, Excel, Word)
  • Enforcing and implementing safety and quality guidelines
  • Keeping accurate track of material stock and orders and staying on budget.

Candidate will need to pass a criminal and vehicle background check.
